Lozita “Rose” Mary Fullen

 December 16, 1934 – January 20, 2026

Lozita “Rose” Mary Fullen passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, in Cottage Grove, Oregon.

Born on December 16, 1934, to the late Bonita Chappell and Charles Walton, Rose was a woman of immense grit, compassion, and humor. She had a vibrant spirit and a love of laughter that stayed with her throughout her life.

Rose was known for her remarkable work ethic, serving for many years as a highly skilled waitress. During the 1970s and 1980s, she was the Madame of the Lazy B Guest Ranch in Fallon, Nevada, where her strength and leadership left a lasting impression.

Later, Rose found her true calling in Central California, where she combined her love of horses with her deep devotion to dogs. She worked alongside law enforcement to train police K-9s and went on to found a rescue facility that saved 156 dogs from local pounds, holding a special passion for Dobermans.

Rose will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Ruth Kennington; her son, Edward Rainville; her granddaughters, Erika Kennington and Erin Garrison; her grandson-in-law, Anthony Bowling; and her great-grandsons, Kody Garrison and Blake Bowling.

Her legacy of strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to animals and family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
