Sally Ann Jensen, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great & Great Great Grandmother & Sister went home to dwell in the house of the Lord March 21st, 2025 with her family at her side.
She was born January 20th 1933, to Lars and Georgia Jensen.
Sally was proceeded in death by her husband Harold (Shorty) Higginbotham, 2 brothers Lawrence and Carl Jensen a Sister Laurel Wyland, a Son Donald Glade, 2 Step-Son’s Gerald and Raymond Higginbotham, a Son-in-law Patrick Monegan, a Daughter-in-law Susan Glade, a Granddaughter Nel and 2 Great Granddaughters Allison and Ellie.

Her family lived in several places from Colton to Cottage Grove and finally settling in Pleasant Hill till the last one graduated, then to the Dexter property where so many gatherings happened over her last few decades.
Sally spent several summers with the kids camping on the logging sites where Shorty worked, where the kids went on adventures and worked to earn money for school clothes.
Sally had several hobbies; she was an Artist, doing several oil paintings and a wall mural. She decorated cakes including several wedding cakes. She also kept the family history organized through pictures.
After raising her family she went on to be the first in the family to graduate from college with a BS Degree from the University of Oregon. Then after College she went on to be a Recreational Director at the Kaufman Senior Center.
In her retirement Sally and her beloved friend Mickie took their grandkids camping for 2 weeks every summer at the Marsh in Klamath Falls. On one trip they had 18 kids at the same time. Her road to fame was acknowledged in the Register Guard for her “Camp Grandma” adventures. Also, we all remember the yearly Gingerbread houses she arranged for anyone who wanted to come out and decorate.
In her travels she took the entire family (7 kids) to Yellowstone and then Disneyland. She traveled around the Northwest and went to Mexico with her daughters. She also traveled all around Mexico for several winters with Shorty then traveled to Alaska and Canada. Her last trip was all the way across the US with her daughter Sherry for over 6 months hitting 33 States.
When Sally wasn’t camping or traveling, she could be found out in the yard pulling weeds, edging the lawn with her bare hands, sanding, painting or washing off the deck. If she wasn’t dirty she wasn’t having fun.
Sally lived a full life! We were all her favorites and we would have to write a book to tell all of her amazing adventures.
She will always be with us in our memories.
The family will be having a Celebration of Life for Sally at the Dexter property June 7th
