Stanley Robert Sweeten, 82, of Eugene passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2026.

Stan was born in Aberdeen, Washington on June 8th, 1943 to Ruth and Robert Sweeten. He graduated from South Eugene High School in 1962 and joined the army, serving as a medic in Germany. He married Beatrice Serjeant in 1970 and they had two children. He enjoyed fishing, scenic drives, and local diners.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Dave, and his granddaughter, Abigail. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice, his children, Gary (Erin) and Marie, and his grandsons, Ronan and Callum.

An informal memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, July 26th at 1pm at First Baptist Church at 3550 Fox Meadow Road in Eugene.
