Steven Vern Shultz, 76, went to be with Jesus peacefully at his residence on July 23, 2026. Mon, Aug 3, 2026, at 10:33 AM A celebration of life will be held at Crow Nazarene Church on August 29, 2026 at 10:30. Honor Guard Burial service will follow immediately at Crow-Applegate Nazarene Cemetery. Born in Eugene, OR. Steve was the child of Vern Clinton Shultz and Ruth Elenora (Nielsen Shultz. After graduating from Elmira High School, Steve served in the Air Force from 1969-1973. He was based in Biloxi, MS, Udorn Thailand and George AFB in CA. Steve and Sandra Newbury were married on June 7, 1080. Steve worked as a diesel mechanic for Pacific Detroit Diesel, was co-owner of The Country Rose at Gateway Mall, and an RV salesman at George Sutton RV until he retired in 2014. Steve served in many capacities in his church including church board President along with assisting in leading a Grief Support Group. Known for his sense of humor and ability to make people laugh, along with his deep faith he will be greatly missed. Steve is survived by his wife, Sandy, daughters Shannon (Kenith) Paresa, Becky (Jeevan) Gore and son Jonathan Shultz, grandchildren, Kai, Malia, Ruthie, Jaxon and Ashley. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Shultz. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crow Nazarene Church.
