Susan Elise Beals

Born on November 17, 1957, in Eugene, Oregon to Jack and Geraldine Beals, Susan was the eldest of three daughters.

During Susan’s early years, she lived with her family in Eugene, Salem and North Bend, before settling down in Roseburg, Oregon for her junior high and high school years. She graduated from Roseburg High School in 1976. She attended Umpqua Community College and then earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Oregon. She worked in Denver, Colorado for a short time before returning to Eugene where she spent her career in law enforcement – mainly with Lane County Parole and Probation.

Susan was a lover of animals and took in and cared for many strays. She enjoyed crafting and took pride in the jewelry pieces she made and sold in the Saturday Market booth she ran for several seasons.

Susan is survived by her sisters Julie Yamaka and Karissa Beals, niece Stephanie, nephew Kevin, and former husband Christopher.
