Teddy Mahoney

Teddy Keith Mahoney, age 92, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025 at Riverbend Hospital in Eugene Oregon.

Ted was born Oct 13,1932 in Boise, Idaho to Hugh Mahoney and Carrie Belle Kimball. The family moved to Merrill Oregon where he met Carol Elaine Winter. They were married in Klamath Falls Oregon on August 14, 1952.

Drafted into the Army in January of 1953, Ted served in Korea. There he learned to operate heavy machinery which would become his career when he returned stateside, working on freeways, airports, light rail, and other jobs.

They had three children, Daniel, Lora, and Kathy.

Ted and Carol lived many years in Wamic, Oregon starting in 1968. He used his carpentry skills to completely rebuild their home. Always helping others, he added hand rails for the neighbors and was always ready to lend a hand.

His wife, Carol passed away July 19, 2002. They had been married 49 years.

Ted moved from Wamic in 2016 to Eugene Oregon where he lived near his brother Darrel. Together they played cards, games, pool, and other activities.

In addition to Carol, Ted was preceded in death by his daughter Lora and is survived by his children Daniel and Kathy, grandsons Toby and Noah, and seven great grandchildren.

He will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery with Carol.
