William D Allen "Bill" of Springfield passed away January 6, 2026, at McKenzie Willamette Medical Center. Bill was born in Calgary Alberta Canada on September 19, 1947, to Betty and Douglas Allen. Bill played hockey throughout his youth, and briefly in Chicago. He later moved to the United States and became a permanent resident. Bill later met and married his wife Patty and they had one son, McKenzie. Patty passed away in 2016. Bill was also predeceased by his parents and his brother Tom. He is survived by McKenzie and Mac's daughters Harper and Gracie. He is also survived by his wife Carol and his step- sons Jay and Brad Watne. His remaining siblings, Carol Hemeyer, Beth Vennard and Douglas Allen all still reside in Canada.

In lieu of flowers, Bill's family requests donations be made to Lucky Paws in Springfield or the Cascade Raptor Center. Both organizations are close to Bill's heart.
